If only I were in a position to kill that bastard with my own hands.

While many can accept a tea maker's ceremony for an officer who lost a battle and disobeyed orders, I don't see how any self-respecting Caldari can accept a cover-up once the initiator found out it would be bad for public relations.
I know people have been saying Heth should be forced to drink tea. At this point, he does not deserve the honor. |

To be clear, the bounty I placed was done before that statement, though I admit the wording of my reply may be rather venomous. Given some time to think, however, I stand by my decision.
I will admit it may not be the proper thing to do by Caldari standards, but I will make no apologies for acting against a man who seems hell-bent on destroying the Caldari way that gives rise to such standards. Heth is content to use his power to wage war on the Caldari way, I will do everything I can in my power to stop it; I don't have any loyal thugs to do my bidding, so I must instead use my assets to hire thugs.
Yes, I would like to see Heth removed from power by the CEP, and put on trial for his crimes. So far, that isn't happening. After every atrocity we hear of him commit, and every blunder that harms the State, and every self-serving announcement, Heth remains in power. KK is not removing the man who is destroying them, and the CEP has yet to tell Heth that enough is enough and reassert their authority. No justice is being done as long as nobody is pursuing the person responsible for the crimes and nobody is searching for the truth in what has happened; trial and sentence is the last step in justice being served, not the first, and the investigation hasn't yet begun.
I should also note, that Heth being brought to justice is only ONE of the things that must happen, more important is preventing him from taking further actions against the State and creating more victims. If that comes about in a way that leads to him standing trial, then that's great; if that comes about through his death, so be it. |
